Job Description

Few areas of law offer the opportunity to make such a meaningful and lasting difference to clients and their families.

We are recruiting for an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a highly regarded specialist Serious Injury team, working on complex and high-value claims involving life-changing and catastrophic injuries.

Rather than operating through individual fee-earner caseloads, lawyers work collaboratively in small teams led by experienced Partners. This approach gives clients access to the collective expertise of the team while providing lawyers at every level with exposure to high-quality, complex work and the support to continue developing their expertise.

The work

The team acts for clients in complex and high-value matters, including:

  • Adult brain injury
  • Child brain injury
  • Complex orthopaedic injuries
  • Amputation claims
  • Fatal incidents and inquests

The approach to each case extends beyond securing financial compensation. The team considers clients’ longer-term care, medical, financial and practical needs, working collaboratively to help individuals and their families achieve the best possible quality of life and future outcomes.

The role

As an Associate, you will work as part of a close-knit team on a range of complex Serious Injury matters, contributing your own experience while benefiting from the expertise and support of senior colleagues.

Your responsibilities are likely to include:

  • Working on complex and high-value Personal Injury claims
  • Supporting and progressing matters involving catastrophic and life-changing injuries
  • Building trusted relationships with clients and their families
  • Working closely with colleagues, medical professionals and other specialists
  • Helping to identify and address clients’ long-term care, rehabilitation and practical needs
  • Reviewing complex medical and evidential material
  • Contributing to the strategic progression of claims
  • Working collaboratively across a number of matters and supporting colleagues within the wider team

About you

We would be interested in hearing from a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with previous experience working within Personal Injury.

The position is expected to suit someone at Grade B level or above, typically with at least four years’ relevant experience, although experience and capability are considered more important than PQE alone.

Ideally, you will have some previous exposure to catastrophic or serious injury claims, although candidates with strong broader Personal Injury experience who are looking to specialise further may also be considered.

You are likely to have:

  • Strong experience within Personal Injury
  • Ideally, exposure to complex or catastrophic injury matters
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative legal team
  • A calm, proactive and organised approach
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • The confidence and sensitivity to support vulnerable clients and their families through extremely challenging circumstances
  • The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals
  • A genuine commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for clients

Why consider this opportunity?

This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded specialist practice undertaking some of the most complex and meaningful work within Personal Injury law.

The role offers:

  • Exposure to complex, high-value and multi-million-pound claims
  • The opportunity to work on serious and catastrophic injury matters
  • A collaborative team-based approach rather than working in isolation
  • Close involvement with experienced senior lawyers and Partners
  • High-quality work and continued professional development
  • The opportunity to develop further expertise in catastrophic injury
  • A supportive and people-focused working environment
  • Hybrid and flexible working

If you are an experienced Personal Injury lawyer looking to develop your career within a specialist Serious Injury practice and undertake work that can have a profound impact on clients and their families, we would be delighted to hear from you.
