We have a fabulous opportunity for a Bookkeeper / Office Manager to join the close-knit team of a large retailer in Addlestone
This position is very much the lynchpin that holds everything together and as such, we are looking for a very special person for this role. You will have fingers in many different pies and we are therefore looking for an experienced, confident all-rounder.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Day to day book keeping responsibilities, including cashing up, bank reconciliations, collating information required by the Company’s accountant to prepare VAT returns and financial year end accounts.
  • Dealing with correspondence, complaints and queries
  • Preparing letters and reports
  • Supervising and monitoring the work of administrative staff
  • Liaising with staff, suppliers and clients
  • Implementing and maintaining procedures/office administrative systems
  • Delegating tasks to junior employees
  • Attending meetings with senior management
  • Company HR: keeping personnel records up to date, preparing payroll, pension submissions etc

It is essential that you have prior experience in an administrative capacity, together with a working knowledge of Sage Line 50 and payroll.  You will at times be working under pressure, managing conflicting priorities and therefore the ability to remain calm is a must have.  A familiarity of legislation with regard to employment, equality and diversity and date protection would be an added bonus.
